After filming and releasing eighteen isolation arrangements exclusively to our Patreon community throughout the year, this is our first publicly released video of 2021. The melody and lyrics of Wild Mountain Thyme are a variant of the traditional folk song “The Braes of Balquhither”. At first the song may lead you to believe it is written to a lover, but the lyrics in the third verse indicate that this is not a love song to a person, but to the landscape.
