The Apex Singers - Glasgow

Award-winning 8-part vocal ensemble The Apex Singers make their Scotland debut to mark the release of their highly anticipated second studio album, Stravaig. This new album consists of fresh arrangements of Scottish, Irish, American and English folk songs written specifically for the group. The Apex Singers will also perform a selection of songs from their Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award-winning album Hiraeth. This album brings together fresh arrangements of folk- tunes from different cultures representing every continent, from an African lullaby, to a vocalised Irish jig. Following its release Hiraeth was chosen as Simon Mayo’s Album of the Week on Scala Radio and selected as one of Jack Pepper & Angelica Bell’s top three albums of 2020.
