Jenny is a music student from the University of Leeds. She has moved to Manchester to work as Administrator for The Apex Singers during her Year in Industry.
Jenny started performing in school choirs from a young age, and has since had a passion for choral singing. Her most recent performances have involved playing the female lead in a university production of Little Shop of Horrors, singing Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms and Handel's Messiah with the Hallé choir, and performing as the soprano soloist in Leeds Baroque Choir's recent Purcell concert. She joined the Hallé Youth Choir in 2017 where she performed works such as Debussy's La Damoiselle élue in the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms and Elgar's Dream of Gerontius in York Minster. She then successfully auditioned for the Hallé Choir in 2021 and is looking forward to performing upcoming works Holst's Planets and Vaughan Williams' A Sea Symphony.
After singing in a one-to-a-part madrigal group in first year, Jenny began to work with more chamber vocal ensembles, and The Apex Singers have given her the perfect opportunity to get first-hand professional experience of this.
